브레이크뉴스 노보림 기자= 한국국학진흥원(원장 정종섭)은 2021년 10월 16일부터 11월 14일까지 유네스코 세계유산에 등재된 도산서원과 병산서원에서 서원 방문객 대상으로 특별한 체험프로그램을 운영한다. 

 한국국학진흥원은 안동시의 지원을 받아 서원에 배향된 인물에게 본받아야할 정신세계를 체험하는 기회를 제공하고자 목판인출체험(도산서원 · 병산서원)과 활인심방(도산서원) 무료 체험의 장을 마련했다. 예로부터 우리 선조들은 좋은 문구를 집안 곳곳에 걸어두고 마음에 새겨두곤 했는데, 이번 목판인출체험에서는 퇴계선생의 좌우명 ‘사무사(思無邪), 무자기(毋自欺), 무불경(毋不敬), 신기독(愼其獨)’과 서애선생의 좌우명 ‘충효(忠孝), 극기복례(克己復禮), 수신(須身), 세심(洗心)’의 글귀를 인출할 예정이다. 

특히 도산서원에서는 퇴계선생의 건강비법인 활인심방을 직접 따라 배우는 ‘활인심방체험’도 동시에 운영한다. 활인심방은 당시 퇴계선생이 70세로 장수하게 된 비법 중의 하나로 몸과 마음을 정화할 수 있는 건강운동법이다. 이를 위해 연세대학교 스포츠응용산업학과 원영신 교수의 지도로 이루어진 전문강사진이 참여한다.  

 이번 체험프로그램은 도산서원과 병산서원 방문객을 대상으로 서원 배향인물의 정신을 배우기 위한 것으로, 세계유산으로 등록된 한국의 서원을 전통과 현대문화가 접목하는 고품격 체험공간으로 활용할 목적으로 기획되었다. 현재 안동은 유네스코 세계유산으로 등재된 하회마을과 도산서원, 병산서원, 봉정사가 있고, 세계기록유산으로 한국국학진흥원 소장의 유교책판이 등재되어 있어 세계유산의 도시로 불려질 만큼 많은 유산이 자리하고 있는 곳이다. 

한국국학진흥원 정종섭 원장은 “이번 체험을 통해 한국의 서원이 현재에 살아있는 공간으로 활용되어 전통과 현대문화가 접목하는 체험공간이 되고 나아가 현대인의 정신적 좌표를 제공할 수 있는 장이 되기를 기대한다.”고 말했다. 

Operate experience programs at the Korea Institute for the Advancement of Korean Studies and Dosanseowon Confucian Academy and Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy.

The Korea Institute for the Advancement of Korean Studies (President Jeong Jong-seop) will run a special experience program for visitors to the Confucian academy at Dosanseowon Confucian Academy and Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy, which are registered as UNESCO World Heritage sites from October 16 to November 14, 2021. 

 With the support of Andong City, the Korea Institute for the Advancement of Korean Studies has set up a free experience of woodblock withdrawal (Dosanseowon Confucian Academy, Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy) and Hwallinsimbang (Dosanseowon Confucian Academy) to provide an opportunity to experience the spiritual world that should be modeled after. Since ancient times, our ancestors have hung good phrases all over the house and kept them in mind, and in this woodblock withdrawal experience, Toegye's mottoes "Samusa," Mujagi, Mubulgyeong, Shin Christian, and Seoae's motto "Chunghyo, Kibokrye, and Sesim" will be withdrawn. 

In particular, Dosanseowon Confucian Academy also runs a "Hwalinsimbang Experience" where you learn Hwalinsimbang, Toegye's secret to health. Hwalinsimbang is one of the secrets of Toegye's longevity at the age of 70 at the time, and it is a health exercise method that can purify the body and mind. To this end, professional instructors led by Professor Won Young-shin of the Department of Sports Application Industry at Yonsei University will participate.  

 This experience program is aimed at learning the spirit of Confucian academy orientations for visitors to Dosanseowon Confucian Academy and Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy, and is designed to use Korean Confucian academy registered as a world heritage as a high-quality experience space that combines tradition and modern culture. Currently, Andong has Hahoe Village, Dosanseowon Confucian Academy, Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy, and Bongjeongsa Temple, which are registered as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and as a World Heritage Site, there are so many heritage sites that they are called World Heritage Cities. 

We hope that this experience will serve as a living space in the present to become an experience space where tradition and modern culture are combined and further provide mental coordinates for modern people, said Jeong Jong-seop, president of the Korea Institute for Korean Studies.
